Bridge Builders United, Inc. was founded by two local educators in Jacksonville, Florida who are determined to help empower youth through Manhood, Academics, Leadership and Excellence.

Dr. Jerome Whitfield Mosley is a native of Jacksonville, Florida who grew up on the Northside on 10th and Fairfax and the Richardson road side of town. Jerome is a proud graduate of William M. Raines High School, Class of 1995. After graduating from high school, he pursued his post-secondary studies at Edward Waters College, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in
Organizational Management. Followed by Jerome’s undergraduate studies, he received his Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management and Development at Webster University. He earned his Doctoral Degree in Education Leadership K-12 from Argosy University. Jerome has been employed by Duval County Public Schools for 15+ years. Jerome is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. His mission is to work with and establish
relationships with male youth from Kindergarten to College to offer support, guidance, and to lead them in their transformation to manhood while instilling the characteristics of Manhood, Academics, Leadership and Excellence. Dr. Mosley’s motto is, “Become the Bridge”!

Dr. Mosley has been dedicated to transforming the lives of youth in the Jacksonville and surrounding areas for over 20 + years by mentoring, teaching and motivating youth to develop goals and map out their life’s path. For over 10 years, Dr. Mosley has studied African American males and the reasons why they have dropped out of school or ended up in the juvenile system. He has a commitment to be and make the change needed in our community. Dr. Mosley founded Bridge Builders United, Inc. in 2017 and believes that Bridge Builders United, Inc. will be the flagship to a new design in mentoring males in the Jacksonville communities and surrounding counties, which will decrease the School to Prison pipeline and develop law-abiding citizens who will give back to their community.

Robert E. Gresham IV is a native of Jacksonville Florida. One of four children raised on the north side of Jacksonville in the Grand Park and Turtle Creek neighborhoods. A proud graduate of First Coast High School where he was involved in many activities that shaped him into a well-rounded individual. Robert matriculated through Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Florida, where he majored in Psychology with a minor in Exceptional Student Education.

Robert began his career in Tampa, Florida as an educator, he worked as a middle school special education teacher and began coaching football, track and field, and basketball igniting his passion to see students compete and win in the game of life.  As a lifelong learner Robert returned to school to earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.

Robert is an Ordained Deacon, a foster parent, and a member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity Inc., where he assisted in many projects to better the urban and homeless community. Robert and his wife currently reside in Jacksonville where he is an Assistant Principal of Jean Ribault High School, and uses his influence to shape and mold the future leaders of tomorrow. 

Under Roberts leadership as director of the Omega Lamplighters, a service and mentoring organization, dozens of youth have accepted the call to become Great for their community. Robert has organized feeding the homeless events, community service fund raisers, workshops and many opportunities within his community to allow the children in his stead to become great. Robert has spearheaded the collaboration of mentors and volunteers needed to make the program a success. Above all Robert has been determined to provide the boys in our community with the mental, spiritual, physical and intellectual tools necessary to becoming GREAT men of tomorrow.
